Che il nome derivi dalle parole latine “res bella” (cosa bella) o “Rebellum” (ribelle) con riferimento al carattere fiero e indipendente, soprattutto nei confronti della vicina Amalfi, Ravello rappresenta indiscutibilmente qualcosa di unico nel mondo del turismo.
La gente viene a Ravello per un turismo puramente culturale con i suoi numerosi monumenti, le bellissime ville e il famoso Festival che ogni anno porta in Costiera Amalfitana eventi unici e davvero interessanti. Villa Rufolo

Duomo di Ravello
Il Duomo di Ravello si trova nel cuore del centro storico e si affaccia sull’animata Piazza Vescovado. La cattedrale, denominata Basilica di Santa Maria Assunta e San Pantaleone, ha un’architettura basata sul modello dell’abbazia di Montecassino, con una bella porta di bronzo formata da 80 formelle figurate e una sontuosa cappella, tutte dedicate al santo patrono della città. All’interno si può ammirare l’interessante Museo dell’Opera del Duomo di Ravello.
Spiaggia di Ravello
